Pimp My Patch [Jan. 8th, 2007|08:51 pm]
Vegetable Revolution

X Posted from my LJ as it's all VRers involved and I hope a lot of you will be interested...

Hello my children. Just a quick entry to ask you nicely to visit The Patch. The Patch is a new online Newsblog, for which I will be writing articles on UK News. The site will be updated daily by 7 resident writers covering Miscellany, Celebrity & TV, UK & World News, Politics and Film/Music.

Alice has posted an article to kick us off today, and I'm next tomorrow...

If any of these interest you at all, or you know anyone involved, which I'm sure a lot of you do, CLICK HERE and show your support.

If you could spread the word to your friends list, I'd love that. Thanks.

London-ness [Dec. 4th, 2006|01:18 pm]

I noticed Jen had a great idea on VR which no one really picked up on, but I'd be up for it all the same.

Those of us who live in/around our fair capital; why exactly don't we meet up for drinks more often like the northerners? As long as the meets don't involve bloody Camden *makes crucifixes with fingers* every time, I'd be more than happy to meet up for drinks, shopping in Oxford Street (or Croydon) or even just random chats.

They do it, why don't we?

Vegetable Revolution

Hah, well that made a fool out of myself yesterday. 'Zine had finished I'd been told, thought I'd pop back to the old forum, make a wee post.

So much for being nice. Had to get involved in a large argument.

And all for nothing as it's still alive, just moved elsewhere.

Ah well, if anyone wants proof that Martin is an arse, just comment. I saved the entire thread before it was edited down :)

Weird... [Nov. 20th, 2005|05:27 pm]
Vegetable Revolution

[Feeling |nostalgicnostalgic]

I figured this was worth posting in here really, seen as it was like... what started VR in the first place! But yes, megazine is no more, How insane is that?!?!?!?!?!?

I know that I for one didn't look at it anymore, and haven't in years... and I know I'm not the only one, but still. It changed a lot in my life, and introduced me to a lot of lovely people, and it's just weird thinking that now it's TOTALLY in the past, and it'll never introduce anymore people to each other... or anything.

It just feels weird!

Yes, I know that this technically is a community for Vegetable Revolutionaries, but seeing as a certain proportion of them/us read/keep an eye on/chastise Mega-Zine, I figured that this poll should be made. Robbie of course reserves the right to shun me if he so wishes, but... y'know. Bring it on, beeyatch. :P

In case you haven't been paying any attention, 'Zine is now offering a text service, where you text MEGA then your message to 07624 809 849; it costs the same as a normal SMS. Yeah, exactly.

So I figured to make a poll about it. The results are hidden, for privacy reasons.
Snipped, as it gets really big when you fill it outCollapse )

So yeah, do whatever. Maybe this is a job for the People's Front of VRers.

rambling [Jul. 6th, 2005|02:46 pm]
Vegetable Revolution
I've lost almost all interest in Vegetable Revolution.

Yes, I realise this has happened to me (and us) before, but this time it really feels like I should just move on from the site and leave it to continue to decay or spam up or whatever it is doing at present. This isn't some major drama thing like in the past nor is it a particularly loud cry for attention, I'm just fed up with the direction VR is taking, I'm fed up with the people, and I'm finding it increasingly difficult to even give a ship regarding what happens there. Quite frankly, I just don't care enough anymore.

I've been distancing myself from the forum for some time now, I'm growing up (and growing apart) from the place, it feels kinda difficult in ways because that place had such an impact on my social life, my attitudes and opinions, all sorts of stuff, stuff that I doubt the newbies will fully comprehend, but it was a suprisingly big part of my life for so long. But now I don't think I can stand it any longer. It's not that I don't like the changes, on a technical level Vegetable Revolution is still great, and I can't fault the forum itself (although we've not seen any exciting new additions recently), it's just the people... I don't feel apart of the Vegetable Revolution anymore.

But whatever, if I don't return, I don't return, simple as. If I do, I do. At present, I just don't care anymore though.

October Birmingham Meet [Jun. 14th, 2005|03:22 pm]
Vegetable Revolution

[Feeling |organised]

Well, the poll on VR about this seems pretty much conclusive: if there's going to be a Midlands Meet, it's going to be in Brum.

So who here would go?

Also, remind me to get this planned and organised by the end of the month, please. I know it won't be until October, but the sooner I sort stuff out, the better it should be, right? And incidentally, what dates would be best for people, or is it still too early to tell?

And lastly, do any of the locals have any suggestions on what we do?
